Dialogue Society will host an inclusive unifying moment of prayer for humanity amid the COVID-19 pandemic with the participation from community and faith leaders from the UK on Sunday, 3 May 2020 between 13:00-13:30 GMT.
Community hubs and places of worship are forced to close their doors in an attempt to help contain the spread of the coronavirus, we believe in facilitating an inclusive unifying moment of prayer for humanity. As many of our community members are left distraught at the escalating cases, we are also reminded of the altruism displayed by many volunteers and essential workers - and would like to thank them for their extended compassion.
Unified by prayer, we hope to reflect hope during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Participants:
• The Rt Revd Olivia Graham, Bishop of Reading
• Rabbi Yuval Keren, Southgate Progressive Synagogue
• Qari Asim MBE, Chair of Mosque and Imams National Advisory Board
• Iysha Arun, Research Fellow at Dialogue Society
• Veronica Wetten, London Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple
• Bengisu Bassoy, Consultant, NHS
• Dr Deesha Chadha, Faiths Forum for London and Hindu Forum of Britain
We invite all to join us and our community leaders (faith and non-faith) to call for reflection, peace and unity.
